This lovely seed head necklace is made of Fine Silver (99% purity), handmade from recycled silver art clay.
I used a campion seed head, picked up on one of my dog walks, and gradually added layer by layer of silver clay before firing, to produce a beautiful, unique echo in silver.
Some folklore says that red campion flowers guard bees’ honey stores, as well as protecting fairies from being discovered; I can absolutely imagine this as they stand sentinel along the hedgerows.
The pendant measures approximately 20mm x 10mm and comes on a 16 inch Sterling Silver fine trace chain, with spring ring clasp.
